These drives are what was/is sold with the chinese 2 stroke gas motor conversions. Pairing them with a 24VDC 250-350 watt motor seems like a smart idea especially for a cheap entry level DIY electric drive. And under $100 less batteries. But add a couple 12V ATV lead acid batteries from Wally World & you're in business! BTW - these motors don't appear to be environmentally rated. A couple say IP54 which will keep out small rocks Well, perhaps more than that but not truly dust proof & don't get it wet.
Also note that these are NOT brushless motors. The design is 20+ years old & they do use an armature/contacting bushes system. Debris in the casing lowers efficiency & life of the motor.
One is for multi-speed rear cogs & the other (small ring) is for single speed coaster bikes like cruisers. Note that they're mounted on the LEFT side of the bike & don't muck up the bike's standard drivetrain.
