I've never seen this bike so I can't really critique it yet, but any aluminum frame, disk brake, 1 1/8" threadless headset bike at $110 is worth a look. And it's a Kent (Genesis) & they've been turning out some products superior to Mongoose/Pacific. That's subjective but I'll decide if this one of them after assembly. So I'm buying it just to review for the benefit of forum members. Will post photos & details of the initial tear down & inspection so folks know what to do with all new bikes. Stay tuned. Delivery is on or before Dec 1st.
INITIAL ASSEMBLY INFO BELOW 9/17/2018

Now scheduled between 29th & 30th. Not quite sure why but really looking forward to this bike. It's got that huge tapered downtube like a Deception so that might be it.

I've seen one of these parked in the bike rack at school. At first glance, it looks pretty nice. Rims and frame both look decent. I've wondered why it wasn't more popular with the "bargain" crowd. I tried to sit on one tonight at Walmart, but it was on the top rack.
I'll be looking forward to your review.

Does't have that MTB/BMX look that so many want. With so many $99, steel, full suspension bikes I see on streets used as commuters, I'm guessing looks outweigh practicality in certain peer groups. Glad your store has one. 4 in AZ don't. Who knows what drive Walmart's inventory software.

There were complications so I'm building this a little late. 9 months late. Sorry, Bruce, if you're still out there It's 34lbs out of the box.
Steel seat post, stem & bar.
2 bolt bar clamp but they are 6mm allen bolts.
Bar is the smallish 22.2 mm diameter bar found on most cheaper MTB bikes.
It is an 1 1/8" threadless headset.
Pedals are plastic body & cage Shimano lowest end trigger shifter/brake combo Wheels are the deep V double wall Kent has used on most Genesis bikes since 2009 or so. Front axle was very over-tightened but was greased. 29" stand over height where the top tube drops. 22" center of stem to center of seat post.
