We'll try to post only bikes we’ve personally given the once-over in a store or elsewhere. We ask that members do the same. Ours may usually be from Walmart or Target but will always be brick & mortar stores. If you shop on-line at Walmart.com, be sure to select “Walmart” as the sole retailer. It’s the only way to be be sure you’ll have fewer hassles & Walmart backing should you have problems with a purchase. Never use 3rd party retailers listed on the site.

It looks like a steam car from the 1800s. The steering is the perfect height. If it stops abruptly his face will smash into the steering preventing him from falling out. I've noticed that welders do make some interesting people powered devices.
desertbikes: Amen. Just about anything that runs a 2 stroke is available in 4 stroke these days. Sure can't beat 2 stroke where weight is a factor tho. My model plane engines were all 2 stroke ethanol diesels. Simple, yet when they wouldn't start we were baffled

tomcat65: 4 stroke engines, I do ok. Comfortable working on them, but 2 stroke engines.. I want to think, they've got to be simple, but noooooo..

desertbikes: Gotta drain that unleaded gas for winter. I have heard of these "lawn mower" devices of which you speak. Perhaps a memory fragment from childhood...

lurker: been struggling with the lawn mower. cleaned junk out of the gas tank and carburetor, cleaned the spark plug and it started right up on the 2nd pull. successful end to 2 days of frustration.

desertbikes: Yup just about everything has gone up at least 15-20% from March 2020. Some things less & others a bunch more. The old guy within says that if it's not fun, don't bother with it. Realistic? No. Just something to strive for.

tomcat65: The Witch Doctor sees the dust on the floor, and the fixtures still in boxes, and just rolls the eyes Building materials prices jumped up, and I'm way over budget. The fun just never ends

desertbikes: Hey the Catster was here & didn't even say hello or give us a bidet update. I'm thinking a foot pedal valve on the garden hose attached to the 5 gal bucket would please Ms Cat. Perhaps in more ways than one

desertbikes: That is such a 70s punk rock band name. Winning the 1977 Battle of the Bands at the Roxy, the Vicious Minnows! Then lead singer, Tuna Manifesto, pukes on stage. Ah, the good ol days
Apr 12, 2021 19:56:06 GMT -7
desertbikes: Eh. How about Lurking Minnow? Wait! Vicious Minnow
Apr 12, 2021 18:01:47 GMT -7
lurker: did i just see you suggest i name my boat "ss minnow"? i kinda like that.
Apr 12, 2021 11:31:45 GMT -7
desertbikes: Indeed. Those interminable task masters. I mean cats. of course.
Apr 12, 2021 6:46:16 GMT -7
lurker: been busy with honey-do's... hunting up a particular sort of cat food (there's a shortage, y'know). laying sod on bare patches of the yard. naps, many, many naps.

desertbikes: I wonder if the SS Lurker set sail today. He said he was just going on a three hour tour. A three hour tour... Cue the thunder clap!

tomcat65: About the bike brand thing. Kent also holds the Hyper brand, Genesis, Takara, Shogun, GMC, Jeep, and BCA - assembled in South Carolina. Pacific a Dorel Industries company Cannondale, Mongoose, Schwinn, IH, GT, Caloi. Lots of corporate/China shenanigans
Apr 2, 2021 22:47:49 GMT -7
lurker: and here tonight probably the last freeze of the season. high today, 49.
Apr 2, 2021 7:39:03 GMT -7
desertbikes: 100' yesterday. And so it begins
Apr 2, 2021 6:51:08 GMT -7
lurker: not down to 1 player yet. soon.
Mar 31, 2021 6:41:53 GMT -7
desertbikes: You're about 30 years too late my friend
Mar 31, 2021 6:11:14 GMT -7
lurker: not sure i like this consolidation trend, looks to me like the middle stages of a monopoly game.
Mar 30, 2021 20:36:13 GMT -7
desertbikes: Look deeper & you find around 6 holding companies own most of the outdoor & sports equipment brands you thought you knew as companies. Thompson Center, Winchester, S&W, Remington etc too And electronics & process instrumentation. Started heavy in the 80s
