I used to live near the store in Niagara Falls and liked going to a real bike shop. It's more of a super bike store really. I started buying parts off the internet a few years ago and they have hreat prices especially if you watch the sales or clearance. I just got some good cycling gloves from them for $7.50 and cold weather riding gloves for $14. I like doing business with them.

i'm doing business with niagara right now, as described in my thread up in road bikes. the selection and prices are superb, but i'm having problems with the length of time they take to fulfill the order, and, they sent me a single (1/2 shim rather than a complete pair). we're working the issue.

today i got an e-mail from jennifer at niagara in which she says she will get a part to me. this shortly after i submitted a "terrible" review to google. we shall see. would be nice to be able to ride the denali again.

so she replied that jennifer is a common name, and that she has 3 cats and a dog. i think she's real! maybe we're NOT doomed! (or she passed the turing test, and we're definitely doomed)

Its taken them up to 5 days to ship my parts even when they are marked as in stock. These days I most;y use them for price matching at universal cycle. which is my goto store for now.

JensonUSA used to be but I don't like the redesigned site. Blue Sky Cycling has some unique deals & parts Nashbar has some deals & lots of fanboys - I'm not one. Chain Reaction Cycle is in the UK but still competitive on some items & has a little different mix of brands not always found in US brick & mortar stores or online. Walmart - yup, but as with all thing on their site, be sure to select Walmart as the only retailer. Performance Bike but only for sale items. Pricepoint was their online store but it may be gone or consolidated into the Performance site. Ebay & Amazon generally as a last resort or on disposable items. Seems like about every 18 months or so I'll have a project that shuffles the list a bit after doing research for price & components,

lo and behold, who should pop up in my facebook feed today but Niagara? and there's a button for comments! so i real quick type out my shim experience and it saves, but when i come back later my comment is gone. should i re-enter it, or hope they're working on it?

today i got an e-mail from amber at customer service for niagara, who says they shipped the other shim half. so far i've been polite. we shall see. it's been three weeks. delivery expected on tuesday.

i once got taken for $12.50 for some history books on half.com. ONCE. have never spent another dime with them.
