Hello. I havem't ridden a bike in years but need to lose weight. The reviews at Walmrt aren't very good for this bike but its $113 with free shipping and thats about all I want to spend. I have a bad knee so I do'nt know if its something I'll keep doing. I'm also around 300 pounds and want to know if I will be okay on this bike. Thankyou!

Welcome, FD. First impression is that the steel frame & wheels on that bike will handle your weight. I need to do some reading before I can say more.

It seems fine to me. are you sure you want to be leaning forward on the bike?

For a number of reasons, I don't recommend the Roadmaster 29er for you specifically. I do offer an even less expensive alternative - HuffyFortress™ Men's Mountain Bike with 3.0 Plus Tires - Huffy link at Walmart It has oversized tires & rims which will handle your weight better, and smooth the bumps. It also has a 1 1/8" threadless stem. If you find you'd like to have the handlebars higher, you can always buy a stem riser. The cables will allow an extra few inches in height. If you're not insistent on a mountain style frame, & don't have too many hills to deal with, I can offer some cruiser alternatives that might be more comfortable for you.

Looks like they've both disappeared from the Wally website.
Or may be going by another name for past crimes of ineffective sales jargon.
