This is the least expensive adult model on Walmart's website. Hyper has made some progressive moves with chinese bikes the past couple years. They introduced Walmart shoppers to the carbon fiber Hyper-x, the first true CF bike in their stable. Now they have a more affordable electric bike for short hauls or supplemental power. Worth a close look for those not wanting to build an ebike. The bike standard components are very low end so care in adjustment & lubrication will be critical to longevity.

affordable is a funny word. i guess vs gas insurance & all that its affordable if you live someplace you can use it instaed of a car. true that. i've been thinking of spending $1000+ on a riding mower. i justify it because cutting grass must be done, and because of the time and labor it should save me. none of those really apply to a bike, although an e-bike would definitely work where i live now.

Desert - are you going to buy one to review? I see you've done that with other bikes.

Doubtful. I will be keeping an eye out for a used Shimano mid-drive bike. The Hyper is a standard rear hub drive motor.

600 bucks seem like a good price if it holds up. that is a big question to cause its got all the cheap gears and shifters like on $100 hypers.
