I am for sure a budget bike fanatic..... my current bikes are..... 97 specialized rockhopper purchase price: $5 at a garage sale fork: sunlite rigid ( amazon) wheels: used... not a matched set, got the rear one from a co-op and the other off a parts bike handlebars: bontrager flat bar ( co-op) stem: gt threadless ( from other bike) crankset: bontrager picked from a bargain bin at my LBS front chainring: single speed ebay special cassette: home brew single speed setup with stamped cog from ebay tensioner: ebay no name special pedals: avenuir platforms ( amazon) chain: bell seat: thrift store special grips: bell bmx tires: bell cruiser tires 26"x2.0( $5 on clearance) brakes: used promax from a parts bike waiting on some fenders from ebay 2013 GT aggressor purchase price: free fork: stock suntour sr wheels: stock handlebars: aluminum no name riser bars from amazon stem: no name amazon special crankset: stock cassette: stock component group: stock pedals: mongoose platform chain: stock seat" serfas gel grips: ebay no name lock-on tires:kenda k rad 26x2.3 ( came with bike) brakes: stock fenders: topeak defenders lights: cat eye led ( $8 at co-op) walmart special usb rechargable red anodized top cap, bar end plugs and valve caps got bike from a family member after they were hit by a car....used upgraded parts to fix Attachments:

Nice stuff! The Topeak fender look great & very functional. I'll have to check if they make a fat version. Like FD said, the price was right for those setups. I never run across those kinds of deals.

Whatr is that black shaft under the rockhopper seat? looks like it goes from under the seat to the seat stay on the right side.

did more upgrades on the GT..... replaced the handlebars and stem with race face ride 710mm x 31.8 and 60mmx 31.8..... also got kool stop brake pads, more rad anodized parts and have a wtb sport saddle coming any day now

i like de fender. was that aftermarket or oem? never really thought about bicycles as a form of expression, but we do it with cars all the time, so why not?

they are topeak defenders... about the only fenders I could find wide enough for the 2.3 wide tires

How do you do that? I don't think Ive ever been done with a bike unless I upgrade wheels or the fork, but wont be able to afford that anytime soon
