desertbikes: Clear today. In fact it's steaks & air rifle day, after some seasonal generator maintenance. Jan 18, 2020 10:51:30 GMT -7
lurker: about the same here. wearing long johns under my overalls, trying to stay indoors. overcast but supposed to be clear and cold the rest of the week. range trip scheduled for thursday, gonna take my "new" pistol. Jan 18, 2020 7:10:17 GMT -7 *

desertbikes: greasewood - what creosotes are called in the southwest. Probably due to shiny or greasy look of the leaves, particularly during monsoon season. Jan 11, 2020 18:32:03 GMT -7
desertbikes: I give up. My service (verizon) is so crappy I keep losing posts. Jan 11, 2020 18:29:41 GMT -7
desertbikes: I've used their .45 & .38 Spl with no issues. Maybe a bit dirty but that can be subjective. Jan 6, 2020 20:37:03 GMT -7
lurker: vendor sold me a box of magtech, brazilian. i've shot their 7.62x51 nato. Jan 6, 2020 14:04:25 GMT -7 *
desertbikes: And never test anything using Winchester white box ammo. In fact, there's no reason to ever subject yourself to that junk. Jan 6, 2020 11:31:17 GMT -7
desertbikes: I use a bucket of sand & kevlar reinforced welding gloves to test handguns. Vertically, usually in a piece of 10" galvanized stove pipe to direct the sound up. And always look away for the first shot, just in case. Jan 6, 2020 11:29:55 GMT -7
genericmember: Good luck! O_o Jan 6, 2020 7:08:28 GMT -7

lurker: it's not like i have to earn a living or keep a regular schedule. sometimes i get up in the middle of the night to pee. i'm still alive and can get around on my own, so it's all good. couple of times the probabilities said i'd be dead by now so it's good. Jan 1, 2020 6:50:49 GMT -7 *
desertbikes: Happy New Year fellow forum fiddlers. Looks like me & the lurkster have absolutely nothing better to do on new years eve than type & read. It does beat driving in the drunken madness & dodging stray bullets. Well, we do have gun fire & mexican fireworks (: Dec 31, 2019 20:37:47 GMT -7
