I hope its ok to post a for sale thread. If not I totally understand. Its time to sell my kids fat bike. Only selling because my son has outgrown it, and I need the $$$ to get him something else. The bike originally was a Mongoose from Walmart, but I have changed almost every part on it. Thompson seat post, XT rear derailleur, Widened Deore rear hub, Origin8 cranks, Shimano Ultra chainring, Avid BB7 disc brakes. Magura rotors, Specialized Ground Control 20x4 tires on drilled rims with Batman rim tape. Wheels are 36 hole, laced with 24 spokes to save weight. Bike is in great shape and needs nothing. You won't fine another bike quite like this one. My son loves it, but he is just too tall for it now. Asking $350 obo.

Damn, man! If I was 2 ft shorter Id drive over & get that bad boy. Sweets mods, Blown. Posting here is fine. I should make a For Sale board too I guess.

If anyone is interested in just the fat bike specific parts, I may sell it that way too. Frame, fork, headset, bottom bracket, wheels with tires and tubes...
The frame would make a cool muscle bike with a 4.0 slick. I could include the original slicks that came on the bike if someone wanted those instead off the knobies...

We replaced it with a Gary Fisher mountain bike. My boy is 10, and he is just big enough for an XS framed mountain bike with 26" wheels. I found a great deal on a used bike that would have been about $2500 new...
